(Book) No Way to Treat a First Lady by Christopher Buckley

I made it about 15% into this book before I realized I read it last year too. I, of course, couldn’t remember the ending so decided to keep going. I am glad I did because this is one hilarious book. The trial of the millennium, the pundits, the TV news folks, the paparazzi, the white broncos, the last minute trial discoveries. Oh, it’s oh so fun. And unfortunately, rings true to what you could expect if something like this were to happen (hey, crazy stuff happens every day). Anyway, it’s a lot of fun, a lot of tongue-in-cheek and a lot of satire.

A definite must-read for anyone that enjoyed Thank You For Smoking (Nick Naylor makes an appearance in this book as well) or someone who thinks the “trial of the century” type stuff is just well… funny.

Elizabeth Tyler MacMann, the First Lady of the United States, has been charged with killing her philandering husband. In the midst of a bedroom spat, she allegedly hurled a historic Paul Revere spittoon at him, with tragic results. The First Lady is on trial for assassination.

I LOVED this book. Laughed out loud a few times. Nothing serious but some fun reading. 🙂
