(Book) The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger

I read this during banned book week. I had not read it before, but it’s a classic. And hey, I wanted to see what could be so bad in it to ban it.

Hoo boy! Did I ever figure out. This book was obviously banned for being the single most boring book ever written. Or perhaps the incidence of boredom induced coma was so high, they felt the need to ban it. I don’t know. But I never did see anything horrible or even questionable in this book – nevermind interesting.

I’m sure people will comment about what a great piece of work this is. To them, I say “meh”

Salinger’s classic coming-of-age story portrays one young man’s funny and poignant experiences with life, love, and sex.

I remember reading this in school, but I don't remember anything about it. LOL I was hoping you were going to tell me. 🙂 But, guess I'll just keep wondering. 🙂
