(Restaurant) Bellino’s Italian in Rockport, TX

On our recent vacation to Rockport, Texas my husband and I got to have a date night. One night all to ourselves. I had driven past this tiny little Italian restaurant a few times so we decided to try it out. We were not disappointed! Though small, the restaurant has a lot of atmosphere. It feels more “intimate” than ”cramped”. Service was prompt and polite. The food was excellent. The only complaint I have is that the dinner bread was cold, but you could have as much as you wanted. The dipping oil served with the bread was excellent though and more than made up for the temperature of the bread.

I ordered a chicken dish with lemon caper sauce and it was amazing. The pasta on the side was done absolutely perfectly and the marinara sauce was also savory goodness.

If you are staying in Rockport and definitely if you are around Key Allegro you should give this restaurant a try!

From their website:

Authentic Italian Cuisine

Bellino’s is a quaint, cozy, intimate and comfortable place to dine. When you enter it is like walking into a typical family trattoria that you can find in the small towns all over Italy. The smells of an Italian kitchen welcome you even from the parking lot, the sound of Italian music playing and the banter between Susan & Francesco in Italian really make you feel like you are in Italy! But when you take the first bite of your entrée and you taste the flavors of Francesco’s cooking, is when you really feel transported to his old family trattoria in Sicily!
