(Store) SomethingStore.com

Okay, let’s talk about The Something Store. I found out about this when someone posted on a forum basically making fun of it saying “some people will buy anything”. True, but it’s more of a fun game for me. I decided, what the heck… let’s give it a roll. So, I paid my $10 and waited. I think the waiting was the funnest part. Will I get some cool gadget that I want? Some weird pink shirt that’s 2 sizes too small for me? Will I get a cool sushi set like what’s listed on their Something Tracker? Will I get a RC boat for Jamie? A Barbie for Cassie? What is it? What is it? What is it?

I’ll tell you what I got in a minute, but… I have to say that I think this idea is completely and utterly genius. Okay, maybe not if you are person that doesn’t like a little adventure in life, but seriously, it is $10 and it was a neat experience to see what in the heck I would get! Shipping took a little longer than I would have liked, but they had just had some major write ups in newspapers, so that is to be expected. Communication was limited, but really, it’s not like it’s coming to me via overnight DHL or something here folks.

I actually got the wherewithal to go to their site and tell them my husband’s idea… a something of the month club! How cool would that be? Each month, they send me something random. I might love it, I might hate it, but each and everything month, a something comes to me. VERY cool. Too bad they already thought of it. I hope they do it. I’d sign up. What the heck. It’s only $10 😉

Now… what I got was… a BOOK! Not one I’d want to read, but it was up Tom’s alley so we were pleased. Plus I think it’s utterly cool I just randomly got a book as obsessed as I am with them.

SomethingStore is a fun new website that operates simply: We will send you something, an item selected randomly among many things from our inventory, for $10 (free shipping in the US) and you will find out what your something is when you receive it. What will yours be?
